Group Anaesthetic Services is a partnership of Consultants specialising in Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Chronic Pain, who work in the independent health sector in the Poole and Bournemouth area. Our consultants are registered to practice within the Nuffield Health and BMI Hospitals groups and also hold local NHS Consultant positions. Your Consultant Anaesthetist works closely with the Surgeon or Physician who is arranging your treatment. They are responsible for providing sedation, pain relief and general anaesthesia during your hospital stay. They also work closely with the nurses performing any pre-operative assessment to ensure that your surgery goes smoothly on the day.
They will advise you on the different types and techniques of anaesthesia suitable for the procedure that you are having, taking into account any other medical condition that you may suffer from.
